WHITE SPACE IN A PAINTING

'White Space in a Painting' was a short film produced in 2011 on which I was asked to produce the design work for. A slightly surreal story of the gambled induced debt of a failing artist and the subsequent debt collecting 'gangsters' who come knocking on his door (of whom one is a self confessed art lover). The story takes place all within one room, one slightly distorted space meant to resemble the contextual surrealness of the story, the artists own self imposed world, one step removed from reality. It resembles a gallery exhibition juxtaposed within what would be the couples living space. Modern elements and windows removed, the furniture sparse, small tokens to their real life compared to the deluded corner of his.
